Open House at Burgettstown Train Station in Washington County, PA
Bike rentals and other amenities will be available by mid-October along the Panhandle Trail in Burgettstown, PA. As a decade-long project to redevelop the historic train station has come to its conclusion, you’ll have the opportunity to see the building before it opens to the public.
Big grant, big results!
The U.S. Department of Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) announced awards of $185.7 million to 196 organizations yesterday.
Batting .454
A recent New York Times article about traveling in Pennsylvania featured twelve places, including the famous Frank Lloyd Wright property, Fallingwater. Of the eleven other places mentioned, five of them are our borrowers. That makes our batting average .454, which isn’t bad odds.

Brewing up Butler’s newest destination
Congratulations to Travis Tuttle, Nick Fazzoni and Greg Deal on the opening of Butler Brew Works, Butler’s newest micro-brewery and brewpub. After nearly five years of working on this project, they have finally achieved their dream of opening their own business, brewing and serving their “adventurous ales”.
