Chillin Hot Grill and Deli
Joy Billmeyer had years of experience in the restaurant industry, banking and bookkeeping. After establishing a successful tax return preparation and bookkeeping business, Joy wanted to open a family business as well. She looked for an opportunity to open a casual, family style restaurant with her husband, Barnie and daughter, Holly.
After finding the ideal restaurant property in Frostburg, Joy got in touch with The Progress Fund who provided a $95,000 loan towards the property purchase and renovations, inventory and working capital.
Chillin Hot Grill’s location on heavily traveled Route 40 between Frostburg and Grantsville enables it to serve hungry residents of both towns as well as travelers on Interstate 68 looking for a bite to eat. The restaurant’s opening will create 3 new jobs in the region.
