New France Brewing Company celebrates its first-year birthday this Thursday. A year ago, they opened their doors and beer taps to the public.
On the 12th, they will be releasing their 1st Year Anniversary beer, which is an imperial oatmeal stout named “The Long Way Around”. The anniversary beer was aged in Liberty Pole Bourbon barrels for over five months. It is a barrel-aged version of a fan favorite, their “As the Crow Flies”.
“The Long Way Around” will be available on draft only at our brewery and in a mixed 4-pack (2 Anniversary & 2 “As the Crow Flies). Supplies are limited. They open at 4 pm and close at 10 pm.

Abstract Realm Brewing opened on the 13th of last year after putting finishing touches on the brew house following years of construction, inspections, and a thousand moving parts.
Saturday, June 14, 2025 – The Big Party
Both breweries will have new beers, and if you’re lucky, you will be there for a surprise $1 short pour hour! They will even have cake!
From noon to 10 pm, they’ll be jamming to live music from a few of their musical friends – Center of Life’s Jazz Ensemble at noon, DJ Ant One III at 3:30 pm, and the acoustic stylings of Dany Vavrek at 7 pm.
So, please come celebrate their birthdays and tip your hat to The Progress Fund for our effort to energize the Hazelwood neighborhood and reuse the Historic Hazelwood Brewery.
