The Country Cupboard & Nature Run Wood Works
Kathy Moore had owned and managed The Country Cupboard in Ligonier, PA for 12 years. She sells country arts and craft items, homemade holiday items, various specialty food items like jams, specialty coffee, homemade nut rolls, and more. Kathy’s husband, Charles Moore, builds custom made “country style” furniture, operating as Nature Run Wood Works. They decided to relocate their business to Laughlintown, PA where they could showcase items from both The Country Cupboard and Nature Run Wood Works .
The Progress Fund provided a $36,000 USDA RBEG loan to finance the inventory needed for their new store.
The old general store in Laughlintown has been brought back to life as The Country Cupboard & Nature Run Wood Works. After working to acquire and rehabilitate the building for two years, The Progress Fund is proud to have The Country Cupboard & Nature Run Wood Works as their tenant in this charming historic building. Their location in the old Ziders’ Store makes it a popular retail destination for area visitors and tourists.
The Progress Fund is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
