Cenci's Ross, Inc.
Having a lower rate is tremendous, especially over the lifetime of the loan. And then only having to come out of pocket 10% frees you up. It protects you.
People
Those 100-hour work weeks in his first takeout pizza shop in 2024 eventually paid off for Bob Cenci. Starting with homemade dough and sauce made daily, adding the best cheeses on the market and topping it off with faith, family and fun, he expanded to three locations in Pittsburgh’s North Hills. Bob’s expertise is pizza, not finance. When he sought to expand the Cranberry location plus bring Cenci’s to Ross, he knew one thing: He’d needed the most flexible financing he could find.
Progress
For both projects, Enterprise Bank and The Progress Fund worked together, tapping Small Business Administration programs and lending a total of $3,525,555.
Impact
Cenci’s combines the best elements of the sports bar and the family restaurant. Low payments allow Bob to get creative, epitomized by an upstairs cigar bar in Ross and duckpin bowling in Cranberry. “Families love it. Adults love it. A lot of kids have their birthday parties there,” says Bob. His expansions mean some 60 hires, including 30 full-timers. They’ll all learn the Cenci’s way: “When you come in, you should be treated respectfully, you should have a great time, and you should want to come back.”
